| Don't be put off by the mellifluous simplicity of the title. This was originally a paper read to a research colloquium hosted by the Catholic University, Leuven, Belgium in 2007. The theme was Theology and Children. My contribution contrasted the compassionate and empathic teaching of Jesus about children with what is found elsewhere in the Bible, in Church history, and in certain Christian doctrines.
